Hari ini adalah zamannya IT, siapa yang bergelut dengan IT membuka peluang yang begitu besar untuk berbisnis, Banyak orang mengira IT itu keren, IT itu jago, membuat aplikasi itu hebat bisa desain itu mantap. Sehingga banyak orang kuliah mengambil jurusan IT seperti Teknik Informatika, Ilmu Komputer, Sistem Informasi, Manajemen Informatika dan lain sebagainya.

Stop Kuliah IT Jangan Ikut Ikutan, Bahaya! kenapa saya bilang begini, karena saya sudah mengalami selama 5 tahun kuliat di IT. Karena apa? IT itu pusing, menurut saya dari 200 siswa satu angkatan hanya 10% orang yang cukup tahu, 5% yang ahli dan menguasai, gila kan dari 200 orang hanya sekitar 10 orang yang mengerti itupun dia belajar otodidak biasanya bukan dari kampus apalagi dosennya :D

Mengapa hal itu bisa terjadi?
Jawabannya, mahasiswa lebih karena ikut-ikutan karena ada teman yang kuliah dijurusan itu, terlihat keren dan lain sebagainya, umumnya mahasiswa baru ga tau jurusan yang diambil itu apa, kedepannya gimana, bahkan SKS aja jarang yang tahu dengan penilaian A, B, C, D, E dan sistem IP.

Mereka mengira dengan kuliah IT maka akan belajar cara jadi Hacker, Jadi Desain Grafis yang keren, membuat 3D animasi, jadi programmer. Padahal didalam pembelajaran harian masih akan ditemui seperti Matematika, Fisika, Aljabar Linier, Kalkulus, Metode Numerik dan seabreg lagi yang bakal bikin pala nyut-nyutan he he he

Yang diajarkan Dosen dengan silabusnya juga masih jadul, jadi jangan terlalu berharap trend sekarang akan diajarkan oleh dosen, bahkan masih banyak juga yang mengajarkan Pascal, atau bahasa program yang prosedural padahal sekarang zaman nya OOP, kenapa bisa begitu, selain silabus yang tidak diperbaharui dosen pengajar juga manusia, dimana dia mengajarkan pelajar 5 atau 10 tahun yang lalu, untuk trend sekarang mereka juga masih belajar dimana tidak mungkin langsung menuangkan ilmu baru pada matakuliahnya, jadi jangan heran jika ada Mahasiswa yang jauh lebih jago dari pada Dosennya

Jadi saat kuliah dipenghujung kelulusan yang membutuhkan skripsi maka biasanya Mahasiswa dituntut untuk membuat sesuatu inovasi baru, pada dasarnya ga diajarkan oleh dosennya, akhirnya mereka kelimpungan dimana solusi terakhir membeli program aplikasi, atau minta dibuatkan skripsi dan programnya ke orang lain dengan mengeluarkan uang pribadi, dan saat sidang ditanya mereka akan planga plongo :D

Lalu Solusinya Gimana Kalo Dah Terlanjut Ambil Jurusan IT?
  1. Manfaatkan Waktu: Ada beberapa sistem dikampus yang menerapkan absen itu penting, jadi walau kamu belum jago di IT, usahakan kamu jangan malas-malasan, karena sengganya dengan kamu rajin masuk IP atau nilai ijazahmu kelak cukup tinggi, ya sengganya bisa lulus diatas nilai standart lah 2.75 he he he
  2. Kamu Harus Tahu: Sekarang itu dunianya digital dimana semua informasi dapat didapat dengan mudah, dan sekarang banyak orang dengan senang hati membagi ilmunya, ga kaya pas zaman 2010 kebawah, dimana akses informasi sangat sedikit dan tutorial sangat sedikit sehingga belajar otodidak benar-benar harus extra baik beli buku, tanya senior dan lain sebagainya. Sekarang banyak Video-Video dan tutorial yang siap Action sehingga dengan mudah bisa dipelajari, jangan malas karena waktu terus berjalan
  3. Mulailah Menggali Potensi Condongmu: Saat masuk kuliah IT kamu pasti masih kebingung dan wajar, semester pertama hingga empat lahap lah semua ilmu IT yang ada, kelak kamu akan mendapatkan passionmu dimana, IT sangat luas, terbagi-bagi, ada yang menjadi Programmer, Designer, Basis Data (Database), Jaringan, System Security, SEO, Teknisi, Robotik pelajarilah semuanya
  4. Ahli dalam Satu Hal: Saat kamu sudah mendapatkan Passionmu, maka galilah lebih dalam jangan pelajari semua, fokuslah pada satu hal sesuai keinginanmu, saat kamu ahli dalam satu hal yang lain akan mengikuti walau sekedar tahu, karena jika kau sudah ahli dalam satu hal, maka itu akan mudah dalam masa depanmu, dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan ataupun project, kenapa harus seperti itu. Contoh: kamu seorang Programmer jika kamu tidak fokus saat kamu menemukan kasus sulit dan tidak bisa maka jasamu tidak akan dipakai tapi jika kau ahli maka kamu akan selalu dicari, IT itu gabungan team, misal ada Prorammer, ada Analyst, Ada yang Databse, ada bagian yang mengurusi server. Jadi stop untuk berpikir kamu bisa semuanya

Nah jika kamu sudah mengerti jangan terbuai dengan waktu, silahkan berteman bergaul tapi yang positif, kamu juga bisa belajar bareng dengan teman kosmu, seperti iuran beli Kabel Balden, RJ45, Router, Microtik dan lain sebagainya untuk mencoba membuat jaringan sederhana, hal ini akan sangat menyenangkan selain harga murah dengan iuran nantinya kamu dan temanmu akan bisa membuat jaringan, seperti membuat jaringan Game Online, Warnet, RT RW Net dan masih banyak lagi.

Kamu juga bisa coba-coba belajar bareng dengan temanmu, targetkan dalam waktu 2 atau 3 bulan membuat suatu project, misal membuat aplikasi bengkel, dimana disitu dirancang mulai dari master data, transaksi hingga laporan harian dan bulanan disertay grafik, setelah itu coba tawarkan ke bengkel-bengkel jual, atau sekiranya dibayar dengan Gratis service staun misalkan kan bisa saja barter seperti itu, buat orang tuamu bangga.

Hiii kawan, IT itu bisa menghasilkan uang sebelum lulus, jika orang IT belum bisa menghasilkan uang setelah diwisuda berarti ada yang salah dengannya :D
